Anthony Shaffer's The Loathsome Lambton Worm
Sergeant Neil Howie was looking for a missing girl. He thought he’d found her – but it was they who had found him.
Rescued from the brink of fiery death, Sergeant Howie struggles to readjust to everyday life on the mainland. Irrevocably haunted and scarred by his experiences on Summerisle, he nonetheless feels drawn back to the island.
But Summerisle has changed since May Day – and so has Howie.
Now, the ultimate test of faith awaits him.
The Loathsome Lambton Worm is a feature-length, full-cast audio drama sequel to the cult horror classic, The Wicker Man, based on an original treatment by Anthony Shaffer (Frenzy, Sleuth). Alec Westwood (Roughnecks, Knightmare, Still Game) and Jamie Roberts (Triangle, Tobe Hooper’s Lifeforce) star as Sergeant Neil Howie and Lord Summerisle, respectively, along with a host of Scottish stage and screen veterans.
