• Welcome to Derry: Season 1, Episode 1, "The Pilot"

  This week, Da7e and Neil are fighting off visions of mutant babies as Welcome to Derry kicks off its first season on HBO. In The Calm [05:22], they discuss the first episode and the double meaning of calling it "The Pilot." They attempt to figure out what the air force is really doing in Derry and tally up the fears of the new cast of Losers. Then in The Storm [01:04:18], your faithful hosts dig into the "Weeks Ahead" trailer and consider how Dick Halloran, his special gift, and America's position in the Cold War will factor into the rest of the season's plot. • Welcome to Derry: Revisiting 'It: Chapter Two'

  This week, Da7e and Neil continue the prep phase of their Derry era as they get closer to the premiere of Welcome to Derry on HBO at the end of the month. Which means it's time to talk about It: Chapter Two (2019). In The Calm [04:14], they discuss the performances of the adult actors, the film's densely-packed and clunky plot, and highlight some deleted scenes from this movie that could prove to be important for the upcoming series. They also highlight the early work of one of the stars of Alien: Earth.
