In 1970 verdwijnt de "Man Van Amsterdam" zonder enig spoor, weliswaar beweren mensen nog altijd dat ze op stormachtige nachten het schip in de verte kunnen zien. Het krijgt de reputatie als een spookschip. Echter blijkt dat het schip misschien toch meer blijkt dan enkel maar een legende.
