Dr. G is on a roll. The Brussels-based artist has weaponised grooves not just to blow up dance floors, but as a way to stir up emotions. He plays hard and fast but always with meaning and a signature bass sound that unites everything he does. Though he wears his 90s and 00s influences on his sleeve, they get folded into contemporary sound designs that have taken him all across Europe and Australia.

He joins us in Croatia for Terminal V in mid-July and before that has served up a taste of what to expect: big and bouncy beats, turbocharged synths and sunny sounds to match the mood of warmer days. Kara Okay is all about serving up sonic treats that bring joy. Importantly, though, the Dutchman knows you can have too much of a good thing, so he has learned to balance the ups with the downs, the light with the dark. The self-confessed optimist pulls his pianos, vocals and rushes of euphoria from across a spectrum of house, trance and garage, often with hints of 90s nostalgia, and can count the likes of DJ Heartstring and Marlon Hofstad as fans.

His own productions are often the high points of his sets, and are something he really managed to focus on after a knee injury kept him at home more often than he'd have liked. Ahead of a busy summer of gigs across Europe and ahead of him joining us in Croatia in mid-July, he has served up set full of unreleased gems and also shared some of his feelings about studio gear, mixing techniques and how he packs his USBs.

Baron Von Trax is part of the Australian new wave, but what makes him unique is the joy and emotion he brings to harder dance sounds. His tracks are always luminous and uplifting, rich in melody and packed with inescapable emotion that swells the heart while his drums get the pulse rising.

In this interview, the Melbourne man admits he wants his music to be accessible and credits his classical piano background as one of the key tools in his production arsenal. He also speaks on what first turned him onto eurodance and where his sound is going next while serving up a gloriously bright, sunny mix that transitions smoothly through every facet of his sound.

Liverpool’s MXGN belongs to a new generation who have come up through the internet age but don't live online. Instead, he's been locked in the studio since his mid-teens and refining a sound that hits with brutal peak-time force but still carries musicality beneath the beats. Raised on Tomorrowland videos before buying his first decks aged nine, he has now racked up millions of streams, released on labels like Teletech, Filth On Acid and NineTimesNine and is one of the UK’s fastest-rising hard techno stars.

Increasingly drawn toward live performance and hands-on hardware experimentation, MXGN has been rebuilding his music in real time using Roland drum machines, synthesisers and Ableton-based live setups. We speak to him about all that, his route into the scene, and find out about the exclusive mix he has served up for us. It was recorded fully live on hardware and is an assault on all the senses.

Aberdeen's Vivace are forging a sound that is unbound by rules, history or pretence. They have an eclectic range of tastes and influences and pull from all of it when cooking up heat in both the booth and the studio. Trance euphoria, speed garage bump and the hardness of techno all collide with hints of musical nostalgia that bring the fun.

The pair only started working together in early 2024 and have since worked without limits. They now have an unspoken chemistry in the booth and a vast vault of unreleased tunes that you will hear soon.
