This week! Liv, Candace, and Jeremy are joined by licensed marriage and family therapists Sekayi Edwards, founder of Hidden Quest Therapy, and Perry Clark, therapist, podcaster, and founder of Untangled & Grow Counseling.

Sekayi and Perry share their origin nerd stories and what first drew them into the therapy profession, reflecting on their personal journeys and experiences working as POC therapists within the mental health field. The conversation explores the realities of medical racism, its impact on care, and why representation and trust matter so deeply in therapeutic spaces.

This week! Jeremy Cobb and Candace the Magnificent are joined by Jennifer Kretchmer, a multi-talented writer, producer, actor, consultant, and tabletop creative whose work spans storytelling, performance, and game design.

In part two of the conversation, the Halflings continue their in-depth discussion with Jennifer, moving further into how disability is represented, understood, and designed for in tabletop roleplaying games and fantasy worlds. They explore what it means to design a fantasy setting with accessibility in mind, and how adaptability often becomes a powerful response when people are confronted with disability, both in real life and at the table.

The conversation also delves into disability mechanics in TTRPGs, how mechanics can support more thoughtful and inclusive play, and the ways disability has been understood and recorded throughout history. Along the way, Jennifer helps unpack common misconceptions around various disabilities.

This week! Jasper, Candace, and Jeremy are joined by the producer of all producers, Jess Jewell.

The Halflings dive into PAX Unplugged, with Jess sharing her first US convention experience and her amazement at how much was packed into the event. Jasper talks about visiting PAX with Jess and the overwhelming scale of the convention, especially when compared to UK venues.

Jess explains why she was in Philadelphia as 12 Sided Studios were commissioned to create The Winged Bull Tavern in collaboration with The Philadelphia LARP Society, an experience that was busy and very 'PAXed'. The conversation briefly turns to Quentin Tarantino’s well-known opinions before teasing the infamous Shoegate story, available as a Patreon bonus.

Jasper recounts his unfortunate food poisoning at PAX, including Chad revealing the cause while looking equally unwell. Candace then shares their highlights from the weekend, from running Dread and visiting The Winged Bull Tavern to finally meeting Jess and Jasper in person.

The episode wraps up with a thoughtful discussion on post-con blues and the importance of community at conventions.

This week! The Halflings get festive as they share their own Christmas traditions and explore how the season is celebrated around the world.

Jeremy reflects on his neutral feelings toward Christmas (much like Thanksgiving), and how that’s changed since his childhood, while Candace contrasts this with their love of gift-giving and a festive feast inspired by The Feast of Seven Fishes from Tv show,The Bear.
