This is the one where Elena shuts off her humanity and burns her house down. Krista has some questions about the logic behind the burning of the house, and we both have things to say about grief. This one actually surprised Krista, and all of us, really, because no one thought they'd pull off their plan to kill Kol! That's two Original vampires our gang has managed to kill, in two of the only plots they've concocted to actually go as planned. Plus, they've got Klaus trapped, and Jeremy's tattoo map complete, so seemingly all of the pieces together to get the cure. As Damon says in the episode: here we go!

We're back! Thank you for your patience as we dealt with illness, work responsibilities, and the passing of a person close to one of us. And, you know, the Christmas holiday.
