In this special episode, we bring our Pop Culture Character Builds to life in a one shot inspired by the Wizard of Oz! Can the crew stay on the rails and get to all of Kelly’s encounters, like a naked man and an unhelpful mayor that sounds suspiciously like Gollum? Also in this episode: Kelly tries very hard to avoid copyright infringement, Alec tries out an Alan Rickman impression and Laurenne tries to remember to use Hunter’s Mark.

In this episode, we build some characters inspired by The Wizard of Oz (that we plan to play in our Wizard of Oz-themed actual play episode next week!). We also answer a listener question about ways to run mass combat for a final campaign battle, and discuss the pros and cons of cinematic vs mechanical combats (and what might work better for your table).
