Going in to this interview, I was under the impression that this might be the only time I’d ever get with Jack. However, after he experienced the legendary “Discograffiti effect,” Jack generously afforded me carte blanche to talk at great length about each of the Airplane’s records. Part 1 is the first part of my first interview with Jack, in which we cover his life story all the way up to the Summer of Love, just as Jefferson Airplane started making their third LP, After Bathing At Baxter’s.
