I recently discovered her while reading the novel Every Inch a Saint – A Novel About Eileen O'Connor, Australia's Next Saint-in-Waiting by author Kate Clinch.

Eileen O'Connor only lived to be twenty-eight and was extremely ill most of her short life, and yet she founded an order called Our Lady's Nurses for the Poor from her sick bed…how did she do it?

I had the privilege of interviewing author Kate Clinch and asking her that exact question in this week's episode! Kate's story is just as fascinating as Eileen's!

Let me tell you a bit about Kate: Born in England, Kate has lived in Adelaide, Australia since she was six years old. She worked as a solo General Practitioner until a near death experience prompted a change of direction and inspired an enduring interest in spirituality and mysticism.

Every Inch a Saint: A Novel About Eileen O'Connor, Australia's Second Saint-in-Waiting is Kate's debut novel. She was diagnosed with cancer during the process of writing Every Inch a Saint, and at that time, Eileen changed from being a fascinating, heartbreakingly inspirational historical figure to a real spiritual companion and source of comfort.

In this episode, Kate shares her own journey of discovering Eileen O'Connor and the profound impact that this sacred friendship has had on her life, and how connecting with this saint can impact yours as well.

2)  Following a suggestion by someone who knew of Eileen O'Connor, Kate went to the historical home of Eileen O'Connor, which contains a chapel that used to be her bedroom. Eileen's body is buried under that room. Kate says "As I sat in the pew of that chapel, the air was electric and I knew I was in the presence of a saint."


3)  Kate describes Eileen's energy as a 'river of grace and compassion.' To connect with her energy, first begin to learn more about her. Reading books about her is a great place to start. Searching for her photos online can help you feel her energy in a powerful way too.

Key Learnings:


1)  I have been doing quite a few Intuitive Healing sessions for my 25th Anniversary special, and I have noticed something interesting… almost every woman has had the same energy imbalance – chakras 2,3, and 4.


2)  Within this imbalance pattern, there are actually 2 additional patterns! 2 and 3, and 2 and 4 being out of balance at the same time. When 2 and 3 are out of balance together, this is what I call the 'anxiety pattern.' Emotions and thoughts go round and round in a loop, which can cause that feeling of anxiety.


3)  The other pattern is 2 and 4. These chakras are feminine centers, meaning energy is moving into them. When they are out of balance, it becomes difficult for them to receive energy. Why would this be? In my experience, this pattern indicates feeling unsafe or a need to protect yourself. When you feel too vulnerable, these two centers tend to react and go 'offline.' Knowing why, resolving the underlying issue, and receiving energy work to balance them is what is needed. When these two are imbalanced, it is very difficult to know what to do next. 1)    Relationships are a mirror for us. They show us how we treat ourselves, and what we believe we deserve. They also show us what we believe to be true about relationships, such as "relationships are hard" or "love is sacrifice." Once you realize that you have a relationship belief that does not work for you, you can change it!


2)    Rather than focus on changing other people, focus on changing the script and beliefs you hold. This is the only way to truly change your relationships. Decide what type of relationship you want to have, and then tell the Universe you insist on this being true for you by not settling for anything less.


3)    Because relationships are so intimate and reveal our deepest needs and fears, the best way to manifest something different is to work with someone one on one to discover the underlying issue. 1)  I have shared my spiritual journey, but never my work journey. This month is the 25th anniversary of becoming a full-time spiritual entrepreneur! The journey hasn't been an easy one, but I could have never imagined that I could create the life I have now!


2)  25 years ago, I was working over 12 hours a day for a toxic boss, my stomach was in knots from walking on eggshells because I never knew when he would explode.
