Key Learnings:


1)    Every year we experience the Lions Gate portal opening from July 26 – Aug 12th. The energy culminates on 8/8. This year, with Jupiter in Leo, the emphasis is on letting our light shine and coming out of the shadows!


2)    This sequence of events begins on August 6th, the feast of the Transfiguration of Christ, when He manifested His LIGHT Body, His true nature. The Lions Gate on the 8th is the apex of this window of cosmic light pouring onto the planet. It begins this wave of energy that leads to the Assumption on the 15th.


3)    The Total Solar Eclipse on the 12th happens on the final day of the Lions Gate Portal and is a powerful magnifier for releasing the old and embracing the new. Do you remember who first taught you to pray or meditate? Was it your grandmother, or perhaps the person who taught the first yoga class you attended?


We have SO many spiritual teachers on the spiritual path, and it is important to stop and thank them. In the Hindu tradition there is an annual holy day called 'Guru Purnima' which is the full moon day we honor our Guru or spiritual teacher.


The word guru means dispeller of darkness, meaning the darkness of ignorance. Any teacher can be a guru (with a small g), but Guru (with a capital G) is THE Guru, the one who awakens you to the truth of your being, and THAT Guru lives within each one of us.


In this encore episode, I share a simple guided meditation to help you connect with YOUR inner Guru and express your gratitude for ALL the blessings you have received.

Key Learnings:


1)    In India, one of the holiest times of the year is called Guru Purnima. It is held on a full moon in the summer (the date changes every year according to the Hindu calendar, similar to Easter) and is a time of celebration and gratitude. Where would we be without the help of our Guru?


2)    Any teacher can be a guru (with a lower case g) – your elementary school math teacher, or your piano teacher, or anyone who has taught you anything! But the Guru (with a capital G) is THE teacher, the one who awakens you to the truth of your being. And while it is wonderful to have a Guru who is in a body, ALL of us have the Inner Guru, the one who is always guiding us.


3)    Whether you have a Guru in a body, or you are connecting with your inner Guru, take some time to sit and reflect on all the blessings you have received in your life. Be truly grateful for them. And thank your Inner Guru, the one who is always with you and loves you more than you can imagine.

The month continues with the feast days of St. Mary Magdalene and St. Anne, and then the Lions Gate Portal opens for two and a half weeks and spiritual energy pours onto the planet. This auspicious time ends with an ECLIPSE on the 12th, which sets you up for a powerful Assumption experience!

Can love heal all things? We hear that so often in scripture, but is it really true? In my experience, if you think of human love, then maybe not. BUT, if you mean Divine Love… absolutely!

In the book, The Dynamic Laws of Healing by Catherine Ponder, she explains this in great detail by giving us real life examples of how Divine Love healed people of seemingly incurable things. This book is filled with so many suggestions to help you heal any area of your life. But my favorite chapter is the Law of Love, and that is the one I am sharing with you today.

Key Learnings:


1)    Catherine Ponder was a prolific writer on New Thought Spirituality, and her most famous book is The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity. But I find this book, The Dynamic Laws of Healing, to be even more powerful and easy to apply to your life.


2)    She states that Divine Love is like a balm to heal the mind, and that ALL ills originate in the mind. You can dissolve thoughts of hate, resentment, frustration, anger, jealousy and all negative emotions by simply repeating "Divine Love" over and over, saturating your mind with this frequency.


3)    When she speaks of healing, she does not mean only physical healing. ALL healing is included. There is a story in the book of a homeless man who was also an alcoholic who was able to turn his life around by focusing on Divine Love. He began to attract to himself the resources he needed and began to flourish. Love is the highest frequency, and anything unlike love will melt away when you invoke this frequency.
