  • Introducing: Dirt - An Audio Drama
Today we have another show in the feed we'll think you'll love. Dirt - An Audio Drama follows Joseph as he embarks on an adventure to follow the mysterious clues left by his grandfather. We love Dirt because the mystery is fun, the characters and their relationships are rich, and everything feels simple and connected. We think you might love it to. So subscribe to their feed if you like this first episode. --- Dirt Chapter 1: Are You Bracing Yourself? This lunch has taken a weird turn. For the very best audio experience, please listen with headphones. Featuring Genie Leslie as Kim, Sho Ito as Kenji, Price and Parker Brooking as Kim and Kenji's kids, and Kristopher Kaiyala as Joseph. Dirt - An Audio Drama is a proud member of the Fable & Folly Network. Thank you for listening. Please share Dirt with friends and family! © STUDIO5705 LLC --- Transcript: Hello Vigil listeners, Adam Qutaishat here with a short update on Vigil Season 2 and another show we think you'll love. We are actively working on scripts. Actors are recording lines. And we're gearing up for the next stage. A stage that will only be possible with your help. So please stay tuned as things are definitely on the way... just maybe be patient. I know I'm having to be. I want nothing more than to make Season 2 something you can all listen to, but the world and other obligations make timelines hard. Especially when we don't want to rush and release something that isn't up to our standards. All that to say. Soon...ish. As for what you can do right now, you can listen to this episode of Dirt! Dirt is a mystery, a treasure hunt, and an exploration of relationships past and present. Sounds like a Vigil fans dream already. Dirt follows Joseph Elo, a tech celebrity who receives a mysterious letter in the mail from his grandfather — who died 30 years ago. The letter kicks off an fantastical journey that sees Joseph examine his priorities, his relationships, and ultimately, with what he wants to do with the rest of his life. Dirt is great because the show tells a compelling mystery without enormous stakes. Things are exciting because we want to solve the puzzle and see Joseph grow, not because the world is about the explode. And I, for one, find that refreshing. So check out Dirt Chapter 1 and subscribe to their feed to hear the rest of the story. Transcript for Dirt episode is unavailable. Please check their website for updates. • Introducing: Psychopompos
Today we share a show that shares some actors with Vigil! If you like the work of Adam Qutaishat or Shayne Patrick, you can hear them on Psychopomos - A New Mythology. Psychopomos is a brilliant retelling of Greek mythology, in a modern, sexy, no holds barred setting that helps us examine our modern times. More information and links to learn more are below. --- Psychopompos - A New Mythology A Myth - The Weaving Contest “Well, girl. Let’s see what you can do.” Psychopompos - a new mythology takes on a very famous myth, The Weaving Contest, which pits the famed and arrogant mortal weaver Arakhne against the Goddess of the Loom, Athena. Narrated by Calliope, the Muse of Epic Poetry and the Chief Muses, she paints the scene as Arakhne disparages Athena to Pan and his friend, the satyr Marsyas, until the great goddess arrives to put her in her place. Content Warning: Explicit Language, Violence. Cast & Crew Pixie Leona as Arakhne Valerie Lyvers as Athena/Old Woman Anya Clingman as Calliope Miguel Long as Pan Mandyn Mueller as Marsyas Rachel Staelens, director, producer Joe Palermo, director of sound Roy Freeman, composer & musical director Resources:  Click HERE for a transcript of the full chapter (not for reuse).  For more information about the story and podcast, visit our site - www.psychopomp-cast.com. If you like what you heard and want to hear more before everyone else, visit our donation page and partake of some great perks while supporting this work. --- Transcript of Introduction: Hello, Adam Qutaishat, the creator and producer of Vigil, back again with more info about our quest for season two. I think we’re just a few weeks away from the big announcement of our next step, hopefully. These things take time and the last thing we want to do is rush to something that isn’t going to work. We’re committed to making a great season on terms that work for our artists. We thank you for your support and understanding in making that happen. And I don’t have a good segue for this week, so I’m just going to tell you about Psychopomos: a New Mythology. Psychopompos is a retelling of Greek Mythology the way it was always meant to be told, diverse, queer, dramatic, sensual, and filled with personalities that are fit for the Gods, Goddesses, and Goddexxs that inhabit it's political and tumultuous world. Psychopompos is not only one of the coolest podcasts out there, but it features several Vigil actors in its cast! One of them is Shayne Patrick, our brilliant voice over artist. And another is me, Adam Qutaishat! I play Hermes! And I don't just say this because I'm in the show, I truly mean it: I love Psychopompos. I'm such a fan of the writing and the storytelling. There's so much packed into each episode. You get deep cuts into the mythology for all you lore folks, and you get political and family drama on pace with your Successions of the world, while also feeling truly like your listening to a modern classic! Like, classic classic. Anyway, I could wax poetic about Psychopompos all day, or, I could tell you that we have the very first myth coming up in just a few seconds. If you like it, make sure you subscribe to their feed to get all that Godly goodness! Hope to see you on Mount Olympus. And now Psychopompos: A New Mythology - Weaving Contest.
