Sweeping changes to the asylum system
The Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood has set out what she's called her "moral mission" to heal divisions in the UK by overhauling immigration rules. Her plans include fast-tracking deportations, and making people who have been granted asylum wait longer before they can settle permanently. Home Secretary Pledges Asylum System Overhaul
