On today’s action packed Mailbag, we kick off with a wonderful email from a Japanese Chatabiscuit who’s been living in the UK. Then there’s messages about compulsive liars, a celeb-filled cafe in Sheffield, some mundane Mum and Dad quirks, more Princess Diana memories, sleeping bags, two half marathon runners and a cricketer with a funny name. Apologies are also in order as Joe has to leave his hotel half way through the recording - but that doesn’t stop them from finishing the episode.

Well, today’s episode is a proper tale of two halves. Firstly, as David’s going on a camper van holiday this summer with his family, Joe wants to know everything about it. So David settles back and starts detailing the magical ‘memory-making’ trip that he’s planned. But Joe’s also been reading a few negative messages about the pod recently and soon diverts the conversation towards discussing those instead. Plus, there’s some chat about how weird it would be to live in each others houses.

Joe bumped into Vanessa Feltz on Brighton seafront the other day - who he’d never met before but they had a brief chat and she took a photo of them both. The encounter may have only lasted a few minutes but obviously David wants to know everything and his forensic questioning of Joe takes up the first 20 minutes of the show. Then, after discussing a few other celebrities they’ve been lucky enough to chat with, David recounts the full story of the time he met Miranda Hart.

After not admitting to some colleagues that he has a podcast, Joe wants to analyse why he and David both find it so embarrassing to talk about Chatabix, even though they love making it. Also, Natasha Demetriou has been in touch recently to ask them if they know how many hours they think they’ve spent recording the pod for - so they try to work that out for her. Then to close the episode, David recounts a life-affirming morning he had meeting a friend who’s just moved into his neighbourhood. Lovely!
