    11-09-2026 | 14 Min.
History repeating… until reality sets in.

“Tom doesn’t usually use this bus stop. He isn’t even from the area, but today the fates have decided that this is where he must be. Tom has no say in the matter. Tom is dead.”

This is Haunted UK Fiction’s Flash Fiction Friday, original short-form stories of the supernatural, the monstrous, and the unknown.

This episode features a story titled Tom and Ava, a gut-wrenching tale by Emma Hudairi who previously brought us Bleakmore: A Gothic Tale.

    Freddie by Ruth Saberton
It Shows Up When It’s Needed by Robert McDermott,

    About the Author:
Emma has always had a fascination with ghost stories and supernatural tales, from hiding under the covers as a child reading Aidan Chambers library books, to hiding behind cushions as an adult watching paranormal investigations and listening to podcasts. Some of her writing is inspired by Yorkshire, a place she knows well, where stunning coastline, historic buildings and sometimes desolate landscapes lend themselves perfectly to a fertile imagination and the possibilities of spooky goings on.

S03 - Flash Fiction 02 - The Haunting of Manor Grove by Jules McBain | A Disturbing Haunting

    26-08-2026 | 15 Min.
“The dark oak staircase started to creak and groan as if in protest to an unseen weight bearing down on it. A sudden cold draught swept through the house and the door to the master bedroom started to bang to and fro…”

This is Haunted UK Fiction’s Flash Fiction Friday, original short-form stories of the supernatural, the monstrous, and the unknown.
In today’s episode, we present The Haunting of Manor Grove House, a terrifying tale where a seemingly straightforward renovation project becomes a desperate fight for survival when an ancient house reveals its darkest secret.

Written by Jules McBain, who has self-published three novels on Amazon over the last two years. Jules wrote this particular story two years ago as a challenge to write a ghost story within a set word limit of 1,700 words. She is currently in the process of writing two other novels: "Out of the Darkness We are Reborn", an apocalyptic novel about the end of the world through Judgement Day and "All I am, All I Will Ever Be" about a female midlife crisis.

    S03 - EP02 - A Little Ghost Story by Iain Travers | A ghostly journey

    19-08-2026 | 48 Min.
“It was at a precarious, slightly vulnerable time, that I began to have experiences, which led to meeting a ghost. I realised with a modicum of alarm, that as I reached out for possibilities beyond death, something from death also reached back to me.”

This is Haunted UK Fiction, original stories of the supernatural, the monstrous, and the unknown.

In this episode we read A Little Ghost Story by Iain Travers, a tale that blends a ghost story with a personal journey...

If you enjoyed this story, continue your listening with:
Sukie in the Graveyard by Robert McDermott
Mother Never Liked Dead Things by S.C. Fisher
    Rattle Chains by Ellen Forkin

    About the Author:
Iain is a retired mental health social worker from Hammersmith, London who worked exclusively in central London, with people with a variety of mental health, behavioural or addiction problems. Such close contact with alternate life views and experiences has been a strong influence on his writing, while the desire for a change of public perception of differences has been a strong motivator to help convey these ideas. After retirement, Iain moved to Wiltshire and now works as a personal assistant to a family of four narcissistic cats. He started writing stories about 15 years ago, tending to favour dark fiction and horror. He also drifts to a few wry and slightly twisted children's stories. Several of his short stories have been published in magazines, and he hopes to find a wider audience - Or at least one that is more receptive than his cats.

S03 - Flash Fiction 01 - The Devil's Arrows (aka The Peeper) by Harrie Tabor

    12-08-2026 | 18 Min.
A quietly unsettling tale of a solitary visit to an ancient site…

“Despite the desire path letting me know that I was far from the first to visit, nobody else was in sight…”

This is Haunted UK Fiction’s Flash Fiction Friday, original short-form stories of the supernatural, the monstrous, and the unknown.
In today’s Flash Fiction episode, we present The Devil’s Arrows by Harrie Tabor, a quietly unsettling tale of a solitary visit to an ancient site

If you enjoyed this story, continue your listening with:
Running from the Christmas Tractor also by Harrie Tabor for a short Holiday-themed horror
Echoes in the Mist by Michele Liddle for an atmospheric, ancient feeling story
One Always Comes Back by Robert McDermott for another tale tied to legends and lore

    About the Author:
Harrie is, in her words, finally getting her act together and actually writing some stories, instead of just daydreaming about writing some stories.
She loves the look of stained glass, thinks fancy rats are extremely underrated as pets and, because this is a Christmas-themed episode, would like to share that her current advent calendar record is 15. Maybe one day she'll reach those dizzying heights again.
She hopes you enjoy listening to this episode and encourages you to support your nearest Christmas Tractor Run. You get to look at pretty lights, help support great causes, and don't worry, it probably won't be haunted. Probably.
