Twenty five years later, we're still learning more about what happened on 9/11 and the weeks after. Newly uncovered records change the narrative about New York City's lauded leaders and their motivations to, yet again, prioritize money over the good of the people who became heroes in the aftermath of tragedy. That tragic afternoon then became months, years, of toxic clean-up efforts, aided by people who went unknown and unnamed for decades. As families of those who were lost speak out against political indifference and societal bigotry, I remain in awe of their strength and resilience.

With midterms coming up, we also see desperate moves by desperate men who once again squandered their opportunity to improve the country in favor of personal gain. Their choices resulted in the loss of relationships with most of our allies, like Canada. This pod aims to explain what led to that particular loss, and how it will affect our daily lives. Also, a shameless gas grift, why real estate developers aren't peace negotiators, the latest efforts to turn Washington D.C. into a shrine for idiocy, and why bribes for voting a specific way is both unconstitutional and not feasible.

After days of deadlocked deliberation, notes from the jury, the arrest of a spectator in a restricted zone, and an emergency filing, the first iteration of the Lindsay Clancy trial has come to an end. This pod summarizes the events of the last few days, presents lingering inconsistencies, and describes actions by the prosecution, defense, and Judge as they weathered a very unusual outcome in a very unusual case. With the next hearing set for September 29, 2026, the public must now wait to see if Plymouth County will stay fixated on charges of premeditated first degree murder or forge a different path in pursuit of justice for the Clancy children.

The last two days of the Lindsay Clancy trial have been pivotal. Days 14 and 15 presented data from her iPhone and wearable technology, information about her state of mind, and devastating testimony from her mother. All these factors answered key questions and presented conflicting information from what was previously shared in court. When reviewing her Apple Watch data, it reveals her heartrate monitoring that abruptly ends and consequently presents a timeline where she could have committed the crimes. Then, when considering her mental state as reflected in confirmed iPhone notes, confusing elements fall into place. That new timeline is described, along with the impact of new information, a rant about the prosecutors, and the lingering questions and caveats that remain.

As devastating as that acknowledgment can be, finding out what happened is the entire point of following the trial. What's even clearer is her myriad, desperate attempts to get help and how gravely she was failed.

We begin with background of who Lindsay Clancy is, her work as a labor and delivery nurse, her marriage, the births of her children, her post partum struggles, and her life as a mom in Duxbury, Massachusetts. Then, we focus on learning about the night of January 24, 2023. Including what Lindsay's husband, Patrick, stated happened and his perspective on the months prior, as shared at trial and via interviews and published articles. From there, we look at what has been presented thus far regarding the crime scene, cyber analysis, cell data, Lindsay's injuries, her diary and notes, her doctors and prescriptions, and most importantly, the timeline of events.
