Karma Stories

Running a haunted house takes a lot more than creepy costumes and jump scares. Every scare depends on careful timing, experienced performers, and knowing exactly when to send the next group through. But when a new general manager decides the long lines are costing the business money, he comes up with a simple solution: stop wasting time between groups. The employees know there's a very good reason for those gaps, but management isn't interested in hearing it. What follows is a workplace Malicious Compliance story about a boss who thinks efficiency is everything, employees forced to follow orders they know won't work, and a Halloween attraction where things are about to get a whole lot scarier behind the scenes.

An entitled landlord wants more than just rent, a boss learns what happens when an employee follows instructions a little too literally, and a stubborn accountant turns a simple payment into a much bigger problem. Today's collection of Malicious Compliance Reddit stories is packed with ridiculous demands, workplace drama, petty revenge, and people discovering that sometimes the worst thing you can do is tell someone to follow the rules exactly. Grab something to eat before this one starts, because the first story might make you seriously hungry.
