Laconia Bike Week was getting hammered by torrential rain.

A tornado warning had most of the area shut down.

But the people who made it to the Kustom Social Show weren’t going anywhere!

For Big Truth Podcast Episode 166, we joined forces with the Lowlife Podcast and recorded live from the Kustom Social Show and Choppahead’s 25th Anniversary Party at Laconia Bike Week 2026.

This wasn’t a polished studio podcast. It was a rain-soaked, tequila-fueled gathering of chopper builders, punk-rock lifers and the people stubborn enough to show up when nearly everyone else stayed home.

Guests include Jimmy Gestapo of Murphy’s Law, John from Eazy Co., Chris and Lisa from Cycle Source Magazine, Terry Shanks, Lenny Lashley, Pistol Pete Sosa and more.

Jimmy G talks about racing vintage motorcycles on the beach, working around New York’s old Psycho Cycles scene with Indian Larry, his nearly fatal Pan-Shovel crash and the long-awaited new Murphy’s Law record.

Cycle Source discusses surviving 30 years in independent motorcycle media, keeping print alive and preserving the beautiful lawlessness of the legendary SmokeOut.

We also hosted a rain-soaked Danger Dan's kickstart competition between a Panhead, Shovelhead and Evo; the winner was awarded a spot in the Idle Hand Built Motorcycle Show; gave away a mountain of gear; and watched the entire thing steadily descend into exactly the kind of chaos you’d expect.

Most of Laconia may have shut down. We didn’t. Recorded live at Laconia Motorcycle Week 2026 in celebration of 25 years of Choppahead Kustom Cycles.
