Knights Quest 20 - Adam Tierney (WayForward)
Conversation with the studio behind Shantae, River City Girls and Clock Tower Rewind! This podcast was recorded a couple months ago, meant for Patreon. Now it's time to share this wonderful talk with Adam Tierney, a big name at gamestudio WayForward. Adam has been working at WayForward for over 20 years and has written and directed multiple games. Peter (Retrogamepapa) talks with him about WayForward, his favourite games and inspiration as well as general topics about video games.Retrogamepapa's Addendum: Because we recorded this a while ago, some news stuff regarding Wayforward is of course not up to date anymore. Funny thing for example is how I mention Sigma Star saga and that that game deserves more attention. Very recently WayForward announced a remastered re-release! It was an awesome conversation with Adam Tierney, but I can really notice, listening back to it, that I was rather tired. I get (even more than usual) the annoying habit of just talking constantly, instead of letting the guest speak. My apologies for that, dear listeners. Adam will return one day for WayForward, and I will do better then!

Knights Side-Quest 07: Grading Video Games
In this special Peter (Retrogamepapa) together with Max and Michiel discuss the grading of video games. Why do people do it? Why do these companies exist? Slight spoiler: Max has a different opinion than Michiel and Peter have on grading video games...Next to discussing graded games, they also talk a bit about owning and/or keeping games sealed. This is something which is almost inherently linked to grading video games. Is there actually a difference between the two in regards to why? For which reasons do people keep games sealed? So many questions... It's all talked about in this side-quest!

Knights Quest 19 - JRPGs with Leah Haydu
It's all about JRPGS! Japanese Role-Playing Games, what's the deal with that? What makes a JRPG a JRPG? What's the difference with other Role Playing Games? These questions and many more will be answered and discussed by Retrogamepapa together with special guest-knight Leah Haydu (Character Issues, Cane & Rinse). Of course both knights also name off their personal favorites and explain why JRPGs have been so important for them.Retrogamepapa's mic was somehow not working properly, thanks to the magic of Windows 11, that's why he sounds so terrible. Many hours were spent trying to salvage it and make it at least listenable. Hopefully the crappy sound quality won't bother everyone too much. The games and game series discussed (among others) are: Secret of Mana, Final Fantasy series, Persona series, Secret of Evermore, Illusion of Gaia/Time, Terranigma, Dragon Quest games, Squaresoft games, Enix games, Chrono Trigger, Nier series and many more.
UPDATE: There's also occasionally an English spoken quest now, with the Knights of the Retro Table as a title to differentiate. Allemaal Nederlands gesproken!
