What a way to make an entrance. Audi has used its first major F1 themed event to lay down its intent to talk like a big manufacturer, instead of a backmarker survivor that Sauber used to be. With this newfound clout, its leaders are coming after Mercedes and Red Bull in regards to the swirling news regarding an engine innovation that the FIA is hearing out engine makers about soon. With Ferrari and Honda alongside them, Audi are making it clear they mean business and are keen to act like a force to be reckoned with. Less shouty, more strong and diplomatic. Wheatley may have learned with Horner about a front running team operation...but he can speak FIA. That's a key plus!
