#398 The Church Is Losing the Fight Against Abortion. Here’s Why. | Ryan Bomberger

    20-08-2026 | 56 Min.
Ryan Bomberger came ready to challenge sacred cows and say the things many Christians are afraid to say.

Conceived in rape and placed for adoption, Ryan has called himself “the 1% used to justify 100% of abortions.” Now, as founder of the Radiance Foundation and author of Should Have Been Aborted, he has spent decades fighting for the dignity of every human life.

In this episode, Ryan holds nothing back as we dig into the surprising intersection of abortion, racism, and critical race theory. Why does CRT teach us to scrutinize racial disparities throughout American society, while the enormous racial disparity in abortion receives comparatively little attention? And what happens when churches adopt secular frameworks for understanding race instead of beginning with Scripture? Ryan argues that Christians have allowed fear of being labeled “racist” to silence them—and directly challenges some of the books, movements, and ideas that have shaped the evangelical conversation about race since 2020.

We also turn the spotlight on the pro-life movement itself. Ryan doesn’t give Republicans a pass, criticizing what he sees as the GOP’s retreat on abortion and the Trump administration’s weaknesses on key life issues.

But this conversation isn’t just about politics. It’s about the church. Ryan challenges Christians who are so concerned with being “winsome” that they become afraid to confront lies, defend the vulnerable, or risk being called names. He explains why speaking the truth in love sometimes requires courage, clarity, and a willingness to be unpopular.

This is a provocative, practical conversation about abortion, race, courage, and what it looks like to be beholden to no one but God and His Word.

#397 Do Christians Have to Forgive Everyone? Answering Biggest Objections to Conditional Forgiveness | Teasi Cannon

    16-08-2026 | 1 u. 11 Min.
Few topics generate more emotional pushback among Christians than forgiveness. Are Christians required to forgive everyone—even when the person who hurt them refuses to repent? And if forgiveness is conditional, does that contradict Jesus’ command to forgive?

In this episode, I sit down again with Teasi Cannon, author of Counterfeit Forgiveness: How a Modern Myth Betrays Victims, Protects Abusers, and Corrupts the Gospel, to respond to the biggest objections to the conditional view of biblical forgiveness.

We tackle passages like Mark 11:25 and Jesus’ prayer from the cross, “Father, forgive them,” and ask whether requiring repentance makes forgiveness transactional. We also discuss how to recognize genuine repentance and what happens when an offender never repents, is unavailable, has died, or is unsafe.

Most importantly, we address the concern at the heart of this debate: Does conditional forgiveness leave victims trapped in bitterness or unable to heal? Teasi explains why rejecting therapeutic forgiveness does not mean holding onto bitterness, refusing to love your enemies, or abandoning healing—and why forgiveness, reconciliation, restoration, justice, and trust need to be understood as distinct biblical categories.

Is conditional forgiveness really a new or fringe idea—or has therapeutic culture reshaped the way many Christians understand forgiveness? This conversation goes straight to Scripture to ask what God actually requires of us when we’ve been sinned against.

    #396 She’s 18—And She’s Changing Minds About Abortion | Ava Calhoun

    14-08-2026 | 1 u. 9 Min.
At just 18 years old, Ava Calhoun is taking a microphone to college campuses and city streets to ask strangers a simple question: When do you think life begins? And remarkably, she’s actually changing minds. Several people who entered conversations with her holding pro-choice views have walked away persuaded of the pro-life position.

In this episode, Ava joins me to break down what she’s learned from having face-to-face conversations about abortion: how to ask good questions, how to respond to the arguments she hears over and over, and how to remain calm and respectful when the person on the other side is hostile. We also talk about why curiosity can be more effective than trying to score a “gotcha,” how to handle questions you don’t know how to answer, and why Christians shouldn’t measure the success of a conversation solely by whether someone changes their mind on the spot.

Then we put those strategies to the test by reacting to viral TikToks making some of today’s most common arguments for abortion—including claims that the Bible never condemns abortion, that life begins at first breath, and that Christians and pastors can be pro-choice.
This is an especially important episode to share with teenagers and young adults. Ava demonstrates that you don’t need to be an expert or have a theology degree to make a difference. You can learn to think clearly, ask good questions, speak the truth with courage and gentleness—and maybe even change someone’s mind.

#395 The Feminization of the University—and Why Christians Should Care | Dr. Corey Miller

    30-07-2026 | 1 u. 9 Min.
Why are young men and young women increasingly moving in different cultural and political directions? In this episode, Alisa sits down with Dr. Corey Miller, president of Ratio Christi, to discuss trends shaping higher education, the church, and Western culture.

They explore the growing gender divide on college campuses, the rise of cultural apologetics, the role of empathy in persuasion, and why today's campus debates often become tomorrow's cultural norms. Dr. Miller also shares insights from decades of engaging students and faculty on university campuses, discussing topics such as worldview, morality, identity, and the challenges Christians face when engaging contemporary cultural issues.

#394 The Case FOR Equal Protection for the Preborn | Ginna Cross

    26-07-2026 | 1 u. 14 Min.
In Part 2 of our series on equal protection for the preborn, Alisa sits down with Ginna Cross, co-CEO of Alliance Family Services, to hear the case for why equal protection should be pursued now—not later. Grounded in a deep conviction that Scripture demands equal justice for every human being made in God's image, Ginna argues that Christians should advocate for laws that protect preborn children the same way they protect every other innocent person.

    Together, Alisa and Jenna discuss:

    What "equal protection" actually means
Why some pro-life leaders oppose equal protection legislation
The biblical case for equal protection
Common objections, including concerns about criminalizing women
What happened behind the scenes with equal protection bills in Tennessee and other states
The differences—and similarities—between the pro-life and abolition movements
Why this debate matters for Christians who want to think biblically about justice, law, and the sanctity of human life

Whether you agree with Scott Klusendorf's strategic concerns from Part 1 or with the arguments presented by Ginna Cross in this episode, this two-part series is designed to help you hear the strongest case from each perspective so you can think through one of the most significant debates in the pro-life movement today.
