De mode-industrie van vandaag creëert een wereld waarin kleding in overvloed aanwezig is. Verder dan enkel productie en consumptie, gaat mode ook over hoe we samenleven. Het is daarmee onlosmakelijk verbonden aan cultuur en identiteit, sociale structuren, economie en ecologie. Voor een transitie van de mode- en textielindustrie zijn daarom verschillende invalshoeken nodig. Hoe past de rol van cultuur en beleid daarin? In deze aflevering introduceert universitair hoofddocent Cultural Economics & Entrepeneurship (EUR) Mariangela Lavanga het concept van de Wellbeing Wardrobe: een benadering op mode die welzijn in plaats van consumptie centraal stelt. Şerife Dikbaş, projectleider consumptiegedrag bij Rotterdam Circulair vertelt over hoe je het verhaal over mode kunt vertalen naar een lokaal niveau. Nacor Martina, ontwerper en onderzoeker bij The Niteshop introduceert het project Abi 2.0: Kleermaker van de Toekomst. Community theatermaker Brecht Hermans en psycholoog en theatermaker Albert Matil geven een inkijkje in het theaterproject ‘Samen in Zorg’. In een community van ervaringsdeskundigen en kunstenaars worden persoonlijke verhalen vertaald naar voorstellingen.
