Eavesdroppin'

This week on Eavesdroppin’ comedy podcast, we’ve got a spooky-season bitsa for Shocktober!

First up, Geordie shares some spooky stories from her days at British luxury fashion house Mulberry, alongside some chilling tales from Shepton Mallet Prison including the story of The White Lady. Then Michelle dives into a true-crime horror show that’ll make your blood run cold. On Halloween afternoon in 2010, 16-year-old Devon Griffin returned home from church in Ohio, expecting an ordinary day — until he discovered what he thought was a Halloween prank. But this was no joke... Who murdered Devon’s family, and why? The answers are horrifying. And finally, we revisit a case first covered in Season 3, Episode 8: the Son of Sam. On Halloween night in 1981, photographer Ronald Sisman, 39, and his 20-year-old girlfriend, Elizabeth Platzman, were found murdered in his New York City apartment. What really happened that night? And what, if anything, did notorious serial killer David Berkowitz have to do with their deaths? So grab a brown lemonade and settle in as the duo also chat The Divinyls, music recs, ghost stories and more on Eavesdroppin’ comedy podcast. And remember, wherever you are, whatever you do, just keep Eavesdroppin’!

This week, Geordie & Michelle look at crazy rise and fall of Theranos - the scam blood-testing company that fooled the world...

Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes went from 19-year-old Stanford dropout to billionaire CEO of Theranos in just a few short years, convincing investors, politicians and the public that she had revolutionised blood testing via one drop of blood — until journalists, scientists and former employees exposed what was REALLY happening behind the scenes. So buckle up as we look at the wild rise and even wilder fall of Theranos, Elizabeth’s fraud conviction and her current prison sentence – and with Elizabeth potentially moving to a halfway house next year and Nathan Fielder’s newly released bizarre documentary You Can See Everything putting her back in the spotlight, the Theranos story clearly isn’t over yet. So grab a brown lemonade and settle in as the duo chat Theranos, flu remedies, outspoken musicians and more on Eavesdroppin’ comedy podcast. And remember, wherever you are, whatever you do, just keep Eavesdroppin’!
