When Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of USA's Today presenter Savannah Guthrie, disappeared from her Tucson home in February 2026, investigators immediately believed it was a kidnapping. There was blood at the house, disturbing doorbell-camera footage and, later, ransom notes demanding millions in Bitcoin. Then in July this year, new ransom notes were released claiming Nancy had died. So what's the real story? Is she still alive? Or did she perish? Six months on, there has still been no arrest and no confirmed sign of Nancy...
