El Sonido: Cancioneros viajó a la Ciudad de México para encontrarse con Margaritas Podridas en las terrazas de La Bestia Radio, días después del lanzamiento de Metales Pesados, el nuevo álbum de una de las bandas más intensas y singulares del rock latinoamericano contemporáneo.

El Sonido: Cancioneros traveled to Mexico City to meet up with Margaritas Podridas – one of the nosiest and most rebellious bands in Latin America – on the rooftops of La Bestia Radio, just days after the release of their latest album Metales Pesados.
Carolina Enríquez, Rafael Armenta, Sofía León, and Eruviel reflect on the emotional and sonic process behind Metales Pesados, an album shaped by grief, internal changes, and an increasingly radical exploration of noise, punk, industrial, and contemporary grunge.

In the middle of a historic moment for global Latino music, the group spoke about representation, bicultural identity, and the meaning behind Dios Bendiga — their first fully Spanish-language album and their first full-length release in more than four years, officially arriving on July 24, 2026.
