Iran is engulfed in war. Instability and violence have exploded throughout its borders, as well as the region. The situation inIran is grim. And all of the challenges today follow decades of oppressive rule and Islamist governance.
What is it like on the ground for Iranian Christians? How is the Church in Iran responding to the chaos? Are they able toreflect the light and love of Christ in the societal darkness around them? Importantly, what can Christians globally learn from the Iranian Church’s faithfulness under fire? And how can we tailor our prayers in support of our spiritual family there?
Joining the Christian Emergency Podcast to answer these questions and more is David Yeghnazar. Born in Iran, David serves as the executive director of Elam Ministries – a ministry committed to training and nurturing the Church in Iran. It is difficult to hear any updates from inside Iran these days, particularly from persecuted believers. We are gratefulthat David can provide a glimpse into the current situation facing Iran’s Christians.

The history of Christianity in Korea is a dramatic account, both beautiful and tragic. The experience of Korea’s early Christian converts offer many insights for believers today around the world.
James Cha, of the Crescent Project and I43 ministries, joined Andy on this encore episode of the Christian Emergency Podcast. Listen as he shares nearly forgotten tales of incredible faith and sacrifice.  But he also explores how compromise wormed its way into the Korean Church, particularly during the Japanese occupation before World War II.  The consequences of compromise proved devastating. But even in the darkest of days, we see that redemption is possible.
In the world today, many Christians can relate to this tale of two Koreas. They feel the pressure building around them, and also the temptation to compromise and become politically correct.
