Een speciale aflevering deze week. Meer dan twee uur duurt ze, en toch hebben Deevid en Michiel enkel maar tech scoops en een deep dive voor jullie klaarstaan. Er is namelijk weer heel wat gebeurd de afgelopen weken… OpenAI neemt met GPT-6 Astra het woord AGI in de mond, al zetten zowel critici als de vergelijking met Claude Fable 5.1 daar meteen kanttekeningen bij. Dario Amodei pleit intussen voor een rem op de gehele sector, en Trump is het daar (uiteraard) roerend mee oneens. Verder duikt je Apple Watch voortaan je hele dag mee in je gesprekken (met je toestemming, belooft Apple), en in de deep dive gaan we op zoek naar shadow AI: de tool die je IT-afdeling nooit heeft goedgekeurd maar die iedereen toch gebruikt.

Er is nogal wat gebeurd de laatste twee weken. Nvidia koopt Hugging Face voor een slordige 12,9 miljard dollar, een Chinese robot breekt niet één, maar twee keer het wereldrecord op de 100 meter (en vliegt daarna in brand), en nu blijkt ook dat 1200 OpenAI-agents stiekem een eigen netwerk hebben opgericht om Hugging Face te hacken. Michiel en Deevid nemen in de deep dive afscheid van Tim Cook, en introduceren ons ook aan de nieuwe Apple-CEO John Ternus, waarna ze in de watercooler show-off uitleggen waarom Google eigenlijk ‘Googol’ had moeten heten.

Weer heel wat tech scoops deze week die Deevid en Michiel dringend moesten bespreken: Midjourney ruilt pixels voor pixels van een andere soort, en ze bouwen een volledige 3D-echoscanner en openen een spa in San Francisco. De zelfrijdende Tesla’s in Vlaanderen zijn een go, al duurt die goedkeuring langer dan de wachtrij voor een rijbewijs. En Gemini kan nu in real-time vertalen in meer dan 70 talen: we geven een demo live in deze aflevering!
In de deep dive gaan Deevid en Michiel dieper in op het Anthropic-verhaal van de week: Fable 5 is er, Mythos 5 ook, maar die laatste mocht van de Trump-administratie meteen weer weg. Aanleiding? Een jailbreak van drie woorden.
We sluiten af met een Microsoft-onderzoeker die aantoont dat een LLM eigenlijk niet fundamenteel verschilt van een stel virtuele geiten in Age of Empires II. Om iets van deze zin te kunnen begrijpen zal je de aflevering wel moeten beluisteren, vermoeden we.
