Times Square Church - Sermons

What do you do when fear, pressure, public opinion, or uncertainty tells you to stay quiet? The early church faced the same question, and their answer was not greater confidence in themselves. It was the power of the Holy Spirit.
In this message from Acts, Pastor Tim Dilena challenges us to recognize the spiritual moment we are living in and ask God for a fresh filling of His Spirit. Peter, Stephen, Paul, and the first believers faced intimidation, opposition, overwhelming responsibilities, and even death, yet they found courage to keep following Jesus.
The Holy Spirit is not just for extraordinary moments. He gives us strength for the conversation we are afraid to have, wisdom for the challenge we do not know how to handle, courage when fear takes over, and confidence to live openly for Jesus in everyday life.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
The Holy Spirit gives us courage to face fear, pressure, intimidation, and difficult circumstances.
Spiritual confidence grows when we spend time with Jesus and learn to listen to what God is saying.
The early church depended on the Holy Spirit to speak about Jesus when powerful voices wanted them to remain silent.
Being filled with the Holy Spirit is not only about a spiritual experience. It gives us power to live our faith in real life.
The name of Jesus remains at the center of the message because He is the One who saves, restores, and transforms lives.

You can be forgiven and still have parts of your life that need to be faced. Following Jesus does not erase every consequence, broken relationship, unfinished responsibility, or painful part of your past overnight.
In this message, Pastor Tim Dilena walks through the story of Onesimus, Philemon, and Paul to show the difference between being forgiven and becoming whole. Onesimus meets Jesus while running from his past, but Paul eventually sends him back to face what he left behind.
You may be carrying something you would rather avoid, a relationship, a mistake, a debt, a responsibility, or a part of your story you thought distance could erase. Jesus does not only forgive you. He gives you the courage, wisdom, and strength to face what is still unfixed and move toward the future He has for you.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
Forgiveness can happen in a moment, while transformation often becomes a journey.
Following Jesus may require the courage to return to situations you have been avoiding and make things right.
Your past does not have to determine your future. God can transform a runaway into someone with purpose and calling.
Remembering how much you have been forgiven changes the way you extend forgiveness to others.
You do not have to face an unfinished past alone. Jesus is with you as you take the next step.

When everything around you changes, you need to know what does not.

In this episode, we reflect on the faithfulness of God in seasons of uncertainty, pressure, and change. The same God who has carried people through fear, loss, waiting, and impossible circumstances is still present and still working today.

You may not know what comes next, but faith begins with remembering who God is. Jesus has not changed. His character is steady, His presence is near, and you can trust Him with what you cannot control.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

God remains faithful even when your circumstances change.

Faith grows when you remember what God has already done.

You can trust Jesus in seasons where the future feels uncertain.

God's presence gives you stability when life feels unsettled.

Your next step is not to control everything, but to keep walking with Him.

When the world feels unstable, and every voice pressures you to choose a side, how do you stay grounded in what is true?

In this message, Pastor Carter Conlon invites you to hold firmly to God's Word and follow Jesus without being redirected by fear, anger, social pressure, or uncertainty. Through Proverbs 4, Isaiah 60, and John 12, he explains how truth can renew your thinking, guard your heart, and give you courage for difficult days.

You do not need to be powerful, impressive, or fearless for God to use your life. You need an honest heart willing to say, "Father, glorify Your name through me."

KEY TAKEAWAYS

How to remain steady when life and the world around you feel unstable.

Why following Jesus requires courage when pressure tells you to hide or blend in.

How God's Word can renew your mind, heal old wounds, and direct your path.

Why lasting change begins within you before it reaches the world around you.

How the Holy Spirit can make an ordinary life a visible source of light and hope.

What do you do when life feels hard on every side and God seems harder to see?

Revelation 4 reminds us that the difficulty around us does not change the reality above us. The door is still open, the throne is still occupied, and God has not lost control of your story.

This message invites us to lift our eyes beyond the pressure, disappointment, grief, and uncertainty in front of us. God may not immediately remove the hard place, but His presence can meet us there. He remains sovereign, His mercy remains, and His promises still stand.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

Hard circumstances can surround you without changing the reality that God is near.

God is still on the throne, unmoved by what has shaken your life.

You are not fighting for victory. Because of Jesus, you can live from the victory He has already secured.

God's mercy and faithfulness remain, even when your own choices have led you into a difficult place.

When life makes it difficult to see God, lift your eyes. His presence can change how you walk through the hard place.
