Two more Eurovision Asia songs have been selected, and we've got the report on The Voice of Bangladesh, the (somewhat sleepy) Bangladeshi national final, and The Sound of Vietnam, the (somewhat sensational) Vietnam selection event. There's a lot of good, if chilled out, music to enjoy, and another potential front runner emerges who's got everything it takes to succeed at Eurovision, Asia or otherwise. Jeremy once again spots one of his favorite national final mainstays, Dimitry's lulled into a relaxing slumber, and Oscar nearly cringes himself out of existence.

We're delighted to be back to Eurovision Asia coverage for the next few weeks, and we're happy to announce there's another fun final full of good songs awaiting Eurovision fans who still have months to go before European selections begin. There's a whole host of catchy tunes courtesy of Thailand's Chosen One, and then three variations on a theme from Laos. Sometimes good things happen to good people, as has happened with friend of the show, Worldvishawn! Shawn is now a consultant and producer for the CBC as he helps them navigate their first Eurovision, and we get the download about the whole process. And in a Eurovangelists first, Dimitry is out of the country and unable to record with us, which means it's time to get NEGATIVE. We go through some of the worst ever performances in the Eurovision Song Contest and a couple of our picks might have ESC purists scoffing. Jeremy sees through the Illusion, Shawn refuses to Be Happy, and Oscar can't believe the beginning of Bandido.

Ireland emerged victorious in our New Big Five t-shirt contest earlier this year, which means they've earned themselves an episode about their many fantastic Eurovision entries over the years. We're also joined by listener, Eurovision fan and professor Mel Hardy, who's a delightful guest host for this look at Ireland's history with the contest. Jeremy identifies the anti-Johnny Logan, Dimitry points out his favorite prisoner, Mel out-Dimitrys Dimitry, and Oscar wonders at the additions of the Swarbriggs.

It's finally time for the hotly anticipated South Korean national final, and it delivers... sort of. We discuss what we feel was missing from Korea's Next Wave with the hilarious Sarah Claspell, but it wasn't lacking great songs, thankfully. Plus? Only 90 minutes! Jeremy picks out some very specific anime themes, Dimitry thinks a robbery may have occurred, Sarah wants to send one competitor to the moon, and Oscar wants to makeitloud.
