  • Men’s & Women’s Ministry or Family Discipleship?
Men's and women's ministries have been separated in the church for years. But the church is a family. And when we disciple together, as a family in community, we experience deeper discipleship in every area of life. In this episode of the Everyday Disciple Podcast, Caesar is joined by his wife Tina, and their friend and fellow disciple-maker, Barb Terry. He gets their perspective on women and discipleship. Are there differences? We find out that the answer is both "yes" and "no". In This Episode You’ll Learn: Why the church has traditionally separated men and women. The importance of women finding their "sisterhood" within community. Can women be effectively discipled by men? Why understanding our gospel identity leads to freedom for both women and men. Get started here… From this episode: "We are all completely uniquely created, designed by God. We're here for a purpose. We're not just here to get by or survive or get stuff done, we get to live our lives in a way that glorifies God, and it shows people what he is like. Living in that reality, in the truth of our gospel identity, changes what we have to do into what we get to do. Yeah. We're totally free to be whatever God created us to be." • Control, Approval, Comfort, Power. Why We Chase False Gods
We all have hidden idols—big and small. An idol is anything that takes God’s place in your heart, absorbs your imagination, or promises what only He can give. This week on the Everyday Disciple Podcast, we’re tackling the four root idols: control, approval, comfort, and power. You’ll learn how to identify and destroy them in your life. Idols today aren’t statues or totems—they’re far more subtle. Listen when your heart says, “If I just had that, then my life would have meaning… then I’d feel valuable, significant, or secure.” In This Episode You’ll Learn: A clear, practical definition of what idols look like in our lives. The four root idols that fuel all forms of false worship. Key emotional triggers that reveal the idols controlling us. How these idols steal our worship and devotion from God. Get started here... From this episode: “Here’s a question to ask yourself… what am I trying to earn from this person or situation? Is it already mine as a dearly beloved child of our Father in heaven? What are my true identity, authority, and privilege as a daughter or son of the King?” Each week the Big 3 will give you immediate action steps to get you started. Download today’s BIG 3 right now. • Jesus Didn’t Argue—Why Should We?
One of the biggest reasons Christians hesitate to talk about their faith is the fear of sounding weird or being hit with tough questions they can’t answer. Others feel like they have to “win” people over, and if they don’t, they’ve somehow failed. This week on the Everyday Disciple Podcast, we’ll unpack why treating evangelism like a spiritual tug-of-war isn’t the way to go. In fact, apologetics often makes for poor evangelism—no one has ever been “argued” into the Kingdom! Apologetics is valuable for defending our faith within Christian communities, but it’s not the best tool for engaging those outside the Church. And when we do discuss differences—especially with fellow believers—we’re called to do so with gentleness and respect. Before jumping into any debate, let’s make sure our hearts are in the right place. In This Episode You’ll Learn: A clear understanding of apologetics and the true purpose of evangelism Two distinct approaches to starting faith conversations The real value of apologetics within Christian communities Why Jesus didn’t rely on tricks, tactics, or arguments to reveal his Father Get started here... From this episode: “While apologetic and evangelistic methods are important and may at times be helpful, the Bible does not attribute the success of the gospel to human rhetoric or strategy. It is the Gospel that has the power to set people free and restore relationships–not our methods or perfectly crafted arguments!” Each week the Big 3 will give you immediate action steps to get you started. • Pastors: Stop Doing 80% of What You’re Doing!
If you're a pastor, much of what fills your week may not be bearing the fruit you think. It’s easy to get stuck on a hamster wheel of tasks—some self-imposed, others added by others—that drain your energy and resources over time. This week on the Everyday Disciple Podcast, we’re exploring why most leaders should STOP doing 80% of what they’re currently doing. You may be facing your biggest opportunity yet to reset your schedule and refocus disciple-making in your church. In This Episode You’ll Learn: Why doing less may be the key to your church’s future. The difference between physical exhaustion and emotional depletion. How to identify your true values and what truly motivates you. Practical steps to create your "stop-doing list." Get started here… From this episode: "We all have only so much physical time and capacity, but we also have a limited supply of emotional capacity to spend each day and week. If you’re maxed out on both time and emotional energy, you will hate your life, have very little to give your family, and will hide and/or die under a pile of exhaustion and never have time for making disciples in community in your everyday life." Each week the Big 3 will give you immediate action steps to get you started. Download today’s BIG 3 right now. Read and think over them again later. • Leading With a Missional Mindset: 10 Ways to Stay Focused
The word “missional” isn’t outdated or irrelevant. It still means living with a radical focus on making disciples of Jesus in everyday life—our unchanging mission as the church. This week on the Everyday Disciple Podcast, we’re tackling the distractions that pull leaders away from a true “missional mindset.” We’ll explore why a consistent discipleship focus matters, especially if you’re a pastor or leading a missional community. In This Episode You’ll Learn: How your view of the gospel shapes your mindset and focus. Why discipleship is not something just preached about on Sunday. 10 ways people with a missional mindset live and lead. How our language impacts what others think Christianity is about. Get started here… From this episode: “People with a missional mindset are careful to use language that makes sense to normal people and helps to reinforce the mission of disciple-making, rather than sound like a seminary class or using a special language about the gospel that almost no one else can replicate in normal life with others. And they seek to have their preaching fuel discipleship–not behavioral modification. In fact, their preaching and services are all a part of discipleship and equipping for the same.” Each week the Big 3 will give you immediate action steps to get you started.
