Princess Kaiulani was a young Hawaiian royal who fought to protect her homeland during a time of great change. In the late 1800s, Hawaii’s monarchy was overthrown while she was studying abroad. Junko Tabei was a Japanese mountain climber who became the first woman to reach the top of Mount Everest in 1975.
