Game Time! EP17 - 2026 Most Anticipated, Faye of War? Japanese Gaming Industry Turmoil & More

    21-03-2026 | 2 u. 3 Min.
    YouTube:
Jason and Ollie reunite to discuss 2026's most anticipated releases, for us at least. It's easy to get bogged down in negativity these days, but what are we here for if not to geek out about games? But first? NEGATIVITY!

The new God of War looks to be featuring Faye, but why? Jason goes into why changing directors for Ragnarok hurt the game, why omitting Faye hurt the Norse games, and how condensing a planned trilogy into 2 games hurt the Norse offerings and how I'm hurt emotionally because of it.Then Ollie brings up the bad: Japan's game investment shortage is drying up, and big-mouthed localizers and translators are hurting video games, anime, and their reputations. Someone who cares about their profession needs to step in and tell the blue hair, septum piercings to hussshhhhh. Also, we discuss some anime and the Oscars, a bit. Game Time! Game Time! EP16 - Xbox is Dead, PlayStation hates PC & Bluepoint, New Name, LOUD NOISES!

    14-03-2026 | 2 u. 22 Min.
Jason and Ollie team up for the rebranding of the show, Game Night! is now Game Time! (Mostly due to Ollie being in Japan and it’s actually morning for him) Long an inside joke due to old men being lazy and forgetting the actual name, to now being the name itself. True innovation, pure cinema, we know.

Anyway, Xbox shake-up with Phil Spencer and Sarah Bond OUT! Who's in charge? Is it Indian nepotism?! Watch us argue.PlayStation continues to bungle its studios, with Bluepoint the latest casualty. Hermen Hulst needs to be fired, all in favour say AYE! Sony also now hates PC, and the PC elitists are pissed. I'm OK with this. Watch us argue!Who's even in charge anymore? We finish with what we're playing and then plan our duel for the next blood moon cycle. Game Time! Episode 16 is live! Please Look Forward To It!

Game Night EP#15-Rebranding; From Japan with Love

    02-02-2026 | 2 u. 37 Min.
Game Night! EP 15 returns, but a touch different moving forward.
First, a change. Erik Kain is still very much involved in Game Night! and we love him in a "wholesome, man kind of way", life has reared its head and time eludes him these days. With that said, Erik will join us from time to time, but will be on a part-time basis. Guiding this new era will still be me, Jason Rose, and now new full-time co-host, Ollie Barder and this episode is a lot about introducing him.
Ollie joined us part-time several episodes ago, but has never fully discussed his journey, likes and passions...until now.
In this freewheeling episode, Ollie delves into life in Japan, his love bordering on obsession with Mecha in all forms (He's a big deal in this world BTW!) As I sip a Bourbon, I let Ollie meander about his passions until we bring it back to the year that was in 2025 and some of what we're looking forward to in 2026, video game-wise.
Hope you're still here and if you are, thanks for sticking with us through this nearly 7!-month hiatus. I promise that this will be far more regular as we move through the year and forward.

Ken Levine Talks BioShock, Judas And More | Game Night! Episode #14

    02-05-2025 | 1 u. 30 Min.
Jason and I got to spend a little over an hour talking shop with Ken Levine, game director of BioShock, BioShock Infinite and the upcoming game, Judas. Apologies for some sound issues. We had a soundcheck snafu. In any case, Judas sounds super exciting and innovative and I can’t wait to play it and this was a great conversation. Enjoy!

Hello Game Night! followers. It’s been awhile since our last episode which is almost entirely my fault. Sorry Jason and Ollie. Life has been pretty hectic. Or perhaps it’s just my dysfunctional brain. In any case, we’re back and there’s more to come.
