The Villisca Axe Murder House stands in the quiet town of Villisca, Iowa, the site of one of America’s most disturbing unsolved crimes. In June of 1912, eight people—six of them children—were murdered in their sleep. No one was ever convicted. No one was ever held responsible.
More than a century later, visitors say the story never truly ended.

Her first experience came at seven years old, when she encountered a hooded figure in an old English churchyard. Years later, a modern family home erupted with unexplained pounding and footsteps that no one could account for. But it was her first flat with her partner—an old Edwardian building—that changed everything.
There were footsteps when no one was home. The sensation of being watched. Objects disturbed by unseen movement. Even her cat reacted to something she couldn’t see. When a spiritualist relative visited, he described a presence using the bathroom as a passageway—an explanation that seemed impossible until the truth about the building’s past was revealed.

She was five years old when a house noticed her.
Not with noise or violence, but with a white mist that gathered at the foot of her bed, shaped itself into something human, and calmly crossed the room. She wasn’t frightened. She was aware—aware that something had realized she could see it.
Years passed. Houses changed. The attention didn’t.
