A family living on the edge of the Navajo Nation has been encountering the same kinds of creatures for three generations — and our returning guest brought several new accounts with him this time. Our guest, Lee, is a member of the Navajo Nation and a practicing hand trembler, a traditional diagnostic role within Navajo culture. Lee recalls a night as a child searching for lost sheep, when something began calling out in his mother's voice and led him toward the edge of a cliff he hadn't seen in the dark.
He shares his grandmother's account from the late 1940s of a large, upright creature that stood up in the middle of her family's sheep herd carrying two lambs, then ran off through the trees without disturbing a branch.
He describes his cousin's ordeal after a cliff fall — days of crawling to safety while several large humanoid figures watched from the tree line and, at one point, left food and water nearby.
