Help me stop shaming myself for my reactions and start listening for what You want to heal. I want to respond from Christ in me, not react from old pain. In Jesus' name, amen.

In this episode, Heather talks about how disappointment with your mom can become a hidden block in your healing with God. Sometimes the issue is not just what happened in the past. Sometimes it is the bitterness, grief, identity wounds, and judgments that formed because of it.
Using a powerful workshop story from Regina, this episode walks through how pain with your mother can move from hurt to bitterness, and how God invites you into real healing through forgiveness, release, and mourning what you never got. Regina shared that her bitterness was directed at her mother because of lifelong abuse, and that it had grown into something that felt like it had taken her over.
