Ep. 5: We’re at the SAFe + AI Summit in March!

    12-2-2026 | 28 Min.
Ep. 5: We’re at the SAFe + AI Summit in March! With guest Maarten Sterrenburg.
    Date: 12th of February 2026
Hosts: Judith van Hoof & Sukie Kang
Guest: Maarten Sterrenburg (ASPC & Agile Transformation Partner and CFO Connected Movement)
In this episode of Connected Conversations, Judith and Sukie welcome Maarten Sterrenburg, CFO of Connected Movement. With a unique background spanning hospitality management and complex business administration, Maarten brings a fresh perspective on how operational excellence translates into the world of Agile and AI.
As we approach the SAFe & AI Summit in Amsterdam this March, the team discusses why structure is essential when dealing with the chaos of rapidly evolving technology. Maarten previews his upcoming talk with the Belastingdienst (Dutch Tax Office), exploring how intent-based leadership can thrive even in highly regulated, constraint-heavy environments.
Meet Maarten: How a background in hospitality and "invisible" operational excellence shapes his dual role as CFO and Agile Coach.

The SAFe & AI Summit: A look ahead to the event in Amsterdam (24th–25th of March) and how Connected Movement is there to listen and learn.

Intent-Based Leadership: A preview of Maarten’s joint talk with the Dutch Tax Office on navigating change in complex, bureaucratic systems.

The Human Element: Why technology alone isn't the solution—adoption depends on culture, behaviour, and bridging the gap between "AI hype" and practical application.

"Operational excellence is actually always invisible when it is done well. But also painfully obvious when it isn't." — Maarten Sterrenburg

"It is also time to really plan for this... to get everybody on board. People are going to be left behind... and at the end of the day, we need to organise this not just for now, but for the next generation." — Judith van Hoof

Upcoming Event: Join us at the SAFe & AI Summit in Amsterdam (24th–25th of March). Come say hi to the Connected Movement team!

Ep. 4 - From AI Literate to AI Native

    14-1-2026 | 36 Min.
Ep. 4: From AI Literate to AI Native – Navigating the New Normal with Karnoe Dorenbos
    Date: 12th of January 2026
Hosts: Judith van Hoof & Sukie Kang
    Guest: Karnoe Dorenbos

In this episode of Connected Conversations, Judith and Sukie are joined by Karnoe Dorenbos, an Agile Transformation Coach and Trainer at the Ministry of Defence. Together, they dive deep into the rapidly shifting landscape of Artificial Intelligence in the workplace.
It is no longer enough to simply know that AI tools exist. We are moving from a state of "AI Literacy" to becoming "AI Native" - a mindset where AI is seamlessly integrated into our daily workflows and strategic thinking. Karnoe introduces the new training curriculum from Connected Movement designed to help professionals and change agents navigate this hyper-agile reality.
Defining "AI Native": Why "digital native" is yesterday’s news and how the "new normal" is actually a state of constant, exponential change.

Beyond the Tools: Why AI adoption isn't a technology problem - it's a mindset, people, and process challenge.

The New Curriculum: A sneak peek into the AI Native Foundation and AI Native Change Agent courses coming in 2026.

Hands-on Learning: Moving away from "death by PowerPoint" toward experiential learning where you solve real business problems with AI in the classroom.

Personal Goals: The team shares their learning ambitions for 2026, from ballroom dancing to hardware engineering and sailing.

"The world will change from 'normal' to 'the next level normal' all the time. I think I am pretty ‘AI Native’, but in three months, it's already legacy. You have to change yourself all the time." — Karnoe Dorenbos
"We are still people. With all the AI and technology... we are not replaceable as human beings. The energy you get from learning together represents value you can never automate." — Judith van Hoof

Ep. 2 - How transformations succeed or fail

    07-10-2025 | 34 Min.
Show Notes: Ep. 2 – How transformations succeed or fail.

In this episode, Judith van Hoof and Sukie Kang cut through the noise to discuss what a true business transformation really is. It's certainly not a project or programme.
We explore why clarity is paramount and how success hinges on a clear vision of the North Star—the intended destination that every employee and leader can align with. Crucially, we talk about the difference between leaders providing mere buy-in and actively engaging and role-modelling the desired behaviour, noting that a lack of proactive executive engagement is often the number one reason transformations falter.
Beyond vision and leadership, we dive into the practical factors that turn transformation into reality, including the importance of setting boundaries by using backlogs to reserve space for change-related work. This directly combats employee burnout from taking on change in addition to their day job. We also cover the critical people aspects, discussing how to address the twin anxieties of learning (will I be able to do my job?) and survival (will I still have a job?), which requires transparent communication and robust training to ensure people are not just enabled, but feel safe to succeed.
