Twin Peaks: The Return, Part 8: "Gotta light?"

    17-08-2026 | 2 u. 52 Min.
Mr C is out of jail no problem! He's cruising with Ray. He uses his phone to get tracking devices off his car somehow. He says he's going to take Ray to "the Farm", which isn't ominous at all. Ray says he has some numbers memorized that Mr C wants, but he might charge some money for them. Then he has to pee, which Mr C uses as an opportunity to shoot Ray. But he fell for the Fake Bullets Trick!!! Ray shoots him. This must spell trouble for ole Mr C....
PSYCH! A bunch of those Woodsmen show up and do a Fucked Up Ritual to Mr C, which makes a black BOB Orb emerge from his stomach. Ray understandably freaks out and runs away. Driving away, he calls Phillip, presumably Jeffries, and says he thinks? he killed Mr C.
Then SMASH CUT to the roadhouse! It’s the end of the episode! Time to get played out by a real life band, everyone’s favorite Lost Highway soundtrack producer, The Nine Inch Nails! Then Mr C wakes up.
That’s weird though, we’re only like 15 minutes into the episode….what’s going on??? Oh! It’s 5:29 am on July 16, 1945, in White Sands, New Mexico! Do I know that from history somewhere? Oh a nuclear bomb has gone off! And we’re playing Krzysztof Penderecki’s Threnody to the Victims of Hiroshima, one of the most discordant pieces of avant-garde music imaginable! We zoom in on the bomb and get a cavalcade of overwhelming incomprehensible images in what I can only really describe as an assault on the senses. Then it kinda becomes fire, or smoke, or maybe galaxies forming? Or more bombs and volcanoes?
Then we see a gas station and convenience store. We stay here for a few minutes while the camera does the fucked up jittery crashing graphics card effect from part 3, as smoke, light, and a bunch of those Woodsmen appear around the gas station.
Then we see a shape that looks like the thing that killed that couple in part 1 floating in a void, vomiting up a bunch of liquid, that BOB orb, and a bunch of eggs.
Then it’s back to the fire and threnody! There’s a weird gold nugget or something in there too.
Then we go to that big purple sea from part 3, and a building that seems like a different building from where Coop was overlooking the sea from? Inside is that weird black & white space that Coop seemed to be in in the season’s opening scene. There’s a lady swaying to some chill old timey music. Then the guy who looks like the Giant is there, and one of those electric tea kettle diving bell things gives off an alarm. The giant turns it off then walks to their nearby theater, where he watches the episode so far. Then he floats up and some gold Stuff leaves his mouth, which the lady with him is entranced by. The gold stuff becomes an Orb with Laura in it. The lady kisses the orb and sends it to earth via pneumatic tube.
ANYWAY! Back in New Mexico, it’s 1956 now. A fucked up frog moth thing crawls out of one of those eggs that got puked up. Then a young couple walk home, passing that gas station from earlier. The guy kisses the girl even though she didn’t really want to.
Anyway! Those woodsmen are here! They spook out a couple in a car asking for a light, then one of them goes to the radio station, kills everyone inside, and broadcasts his Incantation over the radio, which makes everyone in town pass out. That frog moth thing crawls into the young girl’s mouth. The woodsman walks off into the desert and a horse neighs.
    What a normal episode!

Twin Peaks: The Return, Part 7: "There's a body all right"

    03-08-2026 | 2 u. 5 Min.
It's finally time to pay off Laura's secret diary from Fire Walk With Me about how the good Dale is in the Lodge!!! It's what Hawk found in that bathroom stall door!!! There's also a really sad one about Laura realizing BOB is Leland. Hawk and Truman go “damn that's crazy I guess Leland hid it”, then Truman calls the original Harry Truman but doesn't press the point because he has cancer or something. Then he uses Skype™ to call Doc Hayward to ask him about the Coop that came out of the Lodge. Hayward says he was acting really weird and might have “checked in on” comatose Audrey Horne.
Cynthia Knox, that FBI agent who was sent to check out Garland Briggs’ prints, is like what da hell there’s actually a body??? And he’s got no head and seems to have not aged??? Also one of those weird soot-blasted guys shows up and is REALLY spooky.
Albert and Gordon talk to Diane!!! She tells them to fuck off but then does come to South Dakota to talk to Mr C. They have a very upsetting exchange with disturbing insinuations about the last time they saw each other, and she tells Gordon that Mr C is definitely not the real Dale Cooper.
Afterwards, Mr C cashes in his Strawberry Blackmail for a get out of jail free card, and rides off with his henchman Ray. By the way, we remember from back in part 2 that Ray is scheming against Mr C, but that Mr C knows this.
AND THAT’S NOT ALL! Dougie gets grilled by some Brother Cops about his exploding car. Janey-E tells them off because she’s had a very long day. But it’s about to get longer! Ike the Spike attacks!!! But Dougie fends him off with his Black Lodge Chop and Hand Squeeze! We then get a crazy street interview sequence about Dougie’s Moves.
Meanwhile: Jerry Horne got too high!! In the woods!!! Andy tries to solve the mystery of the truck Richard Horne hit that kid with, but the guy he's talking to is really scared and then no-shows their meeting. Ben Horne and his secretary Beverly hear a Weird Sound in the Great Northern, and go “huh! weird!” at getting Dale’s old room key that Jade sent in the mail. Ben pointedly does Not make a move on her, and Beverly has a fraught relationship with her sick husband. Jean-Michel Renault watches a guy sweep at the roadhouse and is still a piece of shit about underage girls. And at the RR, a guy called Bing is looking for a guy called Billy.

Twin Peaks: The Return, Part 6: "Don't Die"

    20-07-2026 | 2 u. 18 Min.
Dougie gets brought home by the cops after loitering soulfully at the sheriff statue. He gives his son a Potato Chip then gets another message from MIKE: wake up! Don't die! This doesn't wake him up; instead, he gets Insurance Vision and scribbles all over his case files. The next day, his boss is at first upset about the scribbles, but then awed when he realizes the disturbing truth they reveal.
Janey-E gives Dougie a piece of her mind, then gives the loan sharks he owes $50,000 to a piece of her mind, which seems to work?
Meanwhile: Albert meets Diane for One Second! Carl from fire walk with me is back! So is a lady called Miriam! They both witness Richard Horne run over a kid after he gets emasculated via magic trick at a drug deal!
We don't see Mr C once, but we do see his machinations, as his Ominous Red Square prompts that nervous business guy Duncan Todd to send Ike “The Spike” Stadtler to kill Dougie and Lorraine, the hitman handler who failed to kill him last time. Chad is still an asshole! And Hawk finally finds an honest to goodness clue, as a dropped Indian Head coin leads him into a bathroom stall with a nez percé manufactured door... and inside that door... some mysterious pages!

Twin Peaks: The Return, Part 5: "Case Files"

    06-07-2026 | 2 u. 20 Min.
Dougie Dale sheds a tear at the sight of his son in the car, then goes to work at LUCKY 7 INSURANCE. He convinces young intern Phil to give him a guy called Frank’s coffee, which works out because Frank finds out he likes green tea. A flashing green light makes Dougie say that a co-worker, Sinclair, is lying about an insurance payout on a fire. His boss, Bushnell “Battling Bud” Mullins, gives him a bunch of case files to study all night. Then he forgets how to pee again which makes an anonymous female coworker want to fuck him so bad. He definitely does not pay back the $50,000 debt Janey-E tells him to.
Meanwhile, Mr C is locked up in jail, where he sees Bob’s reflection in the mirror. He uses his one phone call to say something about “Mr Strawberry”, which seems to rattle the warden, and then puts a code into the phone that makes every alarm go off so he can say “the cow jumped over the moon” without anyone hearing.
Meanwhile: the hitmen supposed to kill Dougie keep circling the block and going idunno his car is still there. This really stresses out a woman named Lorraine who texts “2” to a little black box which shrinks. Don't ask me! Later some punks try to steal the car and it explodes. Anyway! The detectives find Dougie’s ring inside the stomach of maybe Garland Briggs’ corpse. Shelley and Norma Shelley's daughter, played by Amanda Siegfried, is dating a burnout called Steven. New Sheriff Truman’s wife is a TOTAL BITCH. 2 mob guys(?) beat up and fire the casino pit boss while their 3 hotties watch. Jade puts Coop’s Great Northern key in the mail. A guy named only in the credits gets very rapey at the Roadhouse. Tammy Preston seems to think there's something weird with Coop's fingerprints. Andy and Hawk still got nothing. And we FINALLY learn what Jacoby is doing with those shovels and it makes NO SENSE!!

Twin Peaks: The Return, Part 4: "Brings Back Some Memories"

    22-06-2026 | 2 u. 33 Min.
Dougie Dale keeps winning jackpots!!!! He's mister jackpots!!! A guy called Bill Shaker who seems to know Dougie tells him where he lives, and Dougie seems about to leave, when he is threateningly given his winnings and a limo ride home by the casino staff. He meets his wife, Janey-E, played by the illustrious Naomi Watts, who is so mad at him for disappearing for 3 days and also understandably freaks out that he has a mountain of cash.
The next morning he gets a message from MIKE, oh my god this is gonna do it he's gonna get his memory back!!! – oh wait nevermind he has to pee. He has breakfast and coffee – oh my god, coffee! This is gonna do it, it's gonna bring him back!! Oh, nevermind, he just does a funny face. Oh well!
Meanwhile: Gordon Cole meets with TS Legend Denise Duchovny, who is now the chief of staff of the entire federal bureau of investigation. She questions him about his intentions in working with the beautiful young Tammy, saying she “knows his profile”, but Cole deflects using the Trans Rights Gambit. Then he goes to talk to Mr C in prison, who is what that phone call last episode was about, and who tries really hard to seem normal and fails. Afterwards, Cole and Albert are skeezy about Tammy and Albert tells Cole that years ago Philip Jeffries asked the identity of “their guy in Columbia” on behalf of Me C, and then that guy was killed.
In Twin Peaks, we meet a bunch of people: the new Sheriff Truman! And Bobby who's a nice boy cop now and he cries remembering Laura Palmer and it's genuinely really affecting! And Chad, who is NOT a nice cop! And Lucy and Andy's son, Michael Cera doing an insane Marlon Brando impression! Also, we learn that maybe Mr C killed Garland Briggs, and that Lucy, god bless her, just cannot understand cell phones.
