So apparently it's time for the Edisons again! You know, those music awards they give out in Nederland. Pretty tof, right?

Tom, Julia and I chat about the Edison awards and what makes Dutch music so... well, Dutch. We also talk about a court case in Zwijndrecht that's back in the news. Nothing too heavy, gewoon a relaxed conversation between friends.

So apparently Australia is dealing with some serious water problems right now. Overstromingen in het noorden – floods up north, and we're talking about duizend mensen being evacuated. That's a lot of people having to leave their homes, hè?

In this episode, I chat with Pieter and Lisa about what's happening. We talk about the floods, why so many people had to evacuate, and what that actually means when your whole buurt goes underwater.

In this episode, Tom, Julia and I talk about the kabinetsplannen to make ouderschapsverlof less generous. Some people say it's a step backwards for gender equality. We keep it simple, break down the key words, and chat about what this actually means for families in Nederland.

Here's my question for you: if you lived in the Netherlands, would parental leave be important to you? Or maybe you already have kids - how does it work where you are now?
