  • Ep 439: Throwback To Ep60: Q & A – How Do I Work From Point B Instead Of To Point B?
Most people work backward, they “work” from where they are to where they want to be. It makes sense but it’s a strategy that keeps people trapped where they are in life. In today’s episode, the first thing that Kathy needs to identify specifically what “Point B” is for her. You’ve heard the old phrase, “If you don’t know where you are going in life, how will you know when you get there?” The clarity of the path is vital. Without clarity about where you want to go, you’ll most likely flounder throughout life. Next, in this episode, I talk about “Working FROM Point B instead of working TO Point B.” This one simple distinction is what causes people to spin their wheels for years. When you “work from” where you are you just keep repeating where you are in life. In this episode I talk about:[2:44] Other aspects of Kathy’s question which keep her trapped[4:54] The fear that exists between Point A and Point B[6:50] Speaking your existence from positives instead of negatives[8:22] Why you have to give up what you have to get what you want[16:31] The difference between thinking from possibility and resignation And finally, why it’s so vital that you work “From Point B instead of to Point B.” It’s a subtle but huge distinction.

  • Ep 438: Shaman's Tips For An Amazing 2026
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim shares powerful lessons from his shaman and mentor, Don Javier (and Don Juan), offering four timeless spiritual principles to help you create a truly extraordinary 2026. As Jim prepares to evolve the show into a new era of “applied spirituality,” he explores how merging ancient wisdom with modern psychology can transform how we live, work, and relate to others. From authenticity and truth to fear, choice, and personal freedom, Jim dives deep into the energetic roots of human behavior. You’ll discover why being anyone other than your true self drains your power, how fear hides behind every lie, and how defending your beliefs or feeling “stuck” are just choices waiting to be reclaimed. If you’re ready to release self-deception, step out of fear, and start living in full alignment with your soul, this episode gives you practical, shamanic guidance to make 2026 your most liberated year yet. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: Being who you are not is work (03:15) Jim reveals how pretending to be someone you’re not drains energy—and why authenticity is the only sustainable power source.  Every lie comes from fear (11:30) Explore how fear drives dishonesty, from small white lies to lifelong self-betrayal, and learn to replace it with radical honesty.  Defending yourself defines you as someone who needs to defend (17:50) Jim explains why letting go of the need to justify your choices is the path to true agency and autonomy.  Being stuck is a choice (24:30) A deep dive into personal responsibility—how we unconsciously choose stagnation and how to reclaim our freedom through conscious choice.  Applied spirituality for everyday life (32:45) Jim shares how he’s transforming the podcast to blend spiritual wisdom with practical application, helping you live your truth daily.  Listen, apply, and enjoy!  Transformational Takeaway  Every moment of your life is a choice—and the courage to choose truth over fear is the foundation of freedom. When you stop pretending, stop lying, stop defending, and start choosing consciously, you reclaim your energy and power. Authenticity isn’t a risk; it’s liberation. As you walk into 2026, ask yourself: Where am I still pretending? The moment you answer honestly, transformation begins.    Let’s Connect:  Instagram | Facebook | YouTube | LinkedIn  LIKED THE EPISODE?  If you're the kind of person who likes to help others, then share this with your friends and family. • Ep 437: Throwback To Ep81: You Cannot Outperform Yourself
Start Your Transformation Now How often have you set goals or wanted something badly only to find that you fail over and over in achieving it? If you can say yes to the line above, you’re not alone, this is the pattern for most people and the cause is simple, people are setting goals for things that are not in their self-image. People are trying to perform at levels that are outside their self-image and subconscious identity. Many years ago I remember hearing the motivational speaker Les Brown said, “You cannot operate outside of the context of the vision you have for yourself.” Which basically means, you cannot be, do or have what you are not. In this episode I talk about:[1:24] What your self-image is and how it was created[2:21] The cycle of self-identity reinforcement[5:57] The illusion of self-image[15:53] Why you’ll never live up to your full potential[27:22] How to reverse engineer your life from the inside out[31:01] And, How nothing in your life will change until you change There’s an old Tibetan saying, “What you are on the inside is what you are on the outside.” If you want more in your life you must BE more in life. There is absolutely no escape from this concept. You must first be it in your mind before you can have it in your life. Listen, apply, and enjoy!  Transformational Takeaway  You can’t achieve what’s outside your self-image. Discover how your subconscious identity limits your performance and learn how to reverse-engineer your life for success. Remember, you must first be it in your mind before you can have it in your life.   Let’s Connect:  Instagram | Facebook | YouTube | LinkedIn  LIKED THE EPISODE?  If you're the kind of person who likes to help others, then share this with your friends and family. • Ep 436: When It's Out With The Old, and In With The New In Life
Start Your Transformation Now When do you know it’s time to let go of something that’s no longer working—your job, your relationship, your habits? In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim breaks down the emotional and energetic signs that it’s time to release what’s draining you so you can step into something new. He explores how to identify the thresholds and criteria that signal true change is needed—and why courage, not comfort, is the key to evolution.  Drawing on personal experiences and stories from clients, Jim explains how to create clear decision criteria, tune into your intuition, and stop letting fear or guilt keep you stuck in unfulfilling situations. Whether you’re facing burnout, a stagnant relationship, or misaligned work, this episode helps you find clarity and confidence in taking the leap toward what’s next.  If you’ve been feeling the nudge to make a big life shift but haven’t known when or how—this conversation gives you the framework and courage to finally do it.  What You’ll Discover in This Episode:  Knowing when to quit (02:00) Jim shares how the absence of clear criteria keeps people stuck in jobs and relationships long past their expiration date.  The power of defining your criteria (06:20) Why setting emotional and time-based boundaries helps you make confident, guilt-free decisions about what to release.  Family, guilt, and emotional freedom (09:15) How to handle toxic relationships—even with family—and protect your mental and emotional health.  Fulfillment versus burnout (12:30) Jim’s personal story of leaving a high-paying corporate job and discovering how alignment matters more than money.  Growth, alignment, and values (17:50) How to assess whether your current situation supports your evolution—or keeps you small.  Your emotional litmus test (34:30) The simple gut-check question that instantly tells you if it’s time to walk away.  Moving forward with courage (38:00) Jim explains how fear keeps people stuck and why courage is the bridge between endings and new beginnings.  Listen, apply, and enjoy!  Transformational Takeaway  Life constantly invites you to evolve—but evolution requires letting go. When you cling to what’s no longer aligned, you block what’s waiting to unfold. Ask yourself: If this situation were gone, how would I feel? If the answer is “relieved,” that’s your truth. Trust it. Change takes courage, but freedom always rewards those who listen to their inner knowing and act on it.   Mentioned Resources. jimfortin.com/insiders Let’s Connect:  Instagram | Facebook | YouTube | LinkedIn  LIKED THE EPISODE?  If you're the kind of person who likes to help others, then share this with your friends and family.
