Mysteries of the Dark Moon: The Secret Lunar Phase

    25-1-2026 | 51 Min.
In this special episode, I’m taking you back to a conversation I recorded a few years ago with one of the astrologers I admire most, Demetra George.
My fascination with the Dark Moon didn’t come from astrology school. It grew slowly over time, through being around magical women, healers, and seekers who understood that the quietest phase of the lunar cycle carries extraordinary power.
Everything truly crystallised when I read Demetra’s book Mysteries of the Dark Moon. I became determined to speak with her, and after a little persistence and quite a few emails, she finally agreed.
What followed was one of the most memorable conversations I’ve ever had about lunar wisdom, goddess traditions, and the ancient roots of astrology.
In this episode, we explore why the Dark Moon isn’t something to fear, what ancient astrologers really taught about feminine spirituality, and how this hidden phase of the Moon can be used for healing, insight, and renewal.
This conversation also feels especially timely as I prepare for the release of my Dark Moon Oracle Cards, now available for pre order.
     In this episode, we cover:
How Demetra George first became fascinated with goddess mythology and astrology.
Why the Dark Moon represents withdrawal, regeneration, and the sacred pause before a new cycle.
The inspiration behind Mysteries of the Dark Moon.
The forgotten ancient name of the Third House as the House of the Goddess.
How early astrological texts linked the Moon with women’s rites, dreams, and divination.
Demetra’s interpretations of Medusa and Lilith and reclaiming feminine power.
The symbolism of serpents, Kundalini energy, and feminine wisdom.
How ancient priestesses used ritual, sexuality, and lunar timing for healing and regeneration.
Why goddess traditions may not have vanished, but simply entered a hidden phase.
Simple Dark Moon rituals you can try at home.
Clearing your space, unplugging from stimulation, and inviting dreams and insight.
How astrology can act as a form of remembrance rather than prediction.

    Why this episode matters
This is a conversation about slowing down in a fast world.
If you’ve ever felt drawn to lunar cycles, goddess wisdom, or the quieter spiritual spaces between endings and beginnings, this episode is for you.

Bonus Episode: Menopause and the Midlife Planets: Saturn, Uranus and Chiron | Mainly Moonology Podcast S2 E154

    22-1-2026 | 37 Min.
Did you know there’s such a thing as the astrology of menopause? Yasmin explores how Saturn, Uranus and Chiron cycles in our 40s and early 50s symbolise themes like reassessment, disruption and healing, and asks whether those line up with real-world menopause.
To reality-check the astrology, Yasmin invites her oldest friend, journalist and TV producer-turned-author Fiona Clark, whose new book MenoWars dives into the medical, cultural, and political landscape of menopause today.
    In this conversation
    Yasmin and Fiona discuss:
    • The idea of “astrology of menopause” and key midlife cycles
    • Why Saturn themes of reassessment and low mood match many women’s symptoms
    • The “no more fucks to give” threshold and Uranus-style liberation
    • How trauma affects menopause severity and why research is lacking
    • The politics, commercialisation, and medical gaps around menopause care
    • The Maiden–Mother–Crone framework and whether a “wise elder” stage exists today
    • Why Fiona started a menopause charity to tackle research funding and education gaps
    • HRT confusion, risk, and why “it depends” is the only honest answer
    • Laughter, honesty, feminism, and reclaiming the Crone

    Key takeaways
Midlife astrology mirrors lived experience more than you might think.
Saturn’s heaviness, Uranus’ rebellion, and Chiron’s healing themes show up in mood, identity, health and boundaries.
Menopause is not just hot flushes.
There are silent changes to the brain, heart, and bones that need attention beyond symptom management.
    The cultural moment is messy.
Social media, medical arguments and commercial influences have created what Fiona calls the “Menowars.”
    Feminism matters here.
Access, research, education and respect are still uneven. Menopause is a women’s health equity issue.
There is power in the Crone.
The idea of the wise elder resonates, but culture hasn’t caught up yet.

    About Fiona’s book
“MenoWars: Why menopause’s moment has gone horribly wrong, and how you can navigate your way through it”
The Times called it “fascinating.” It looks at menopause through science, politics, media, money and medicine, and includes humour plus real stories from women.
Available in the USA this week, and already in the UK and Australia.

    • Book: MenoWars: Why menopause’s moment has gone horribly wrong, and how you can navigate your way through it
A final piece of advice from Fiona
“Stop listening to everybody else’s opinions. It’s your menopause, it’s your choice… cut out the noise.”

New Moon in Aquarius: How to Plan 2026 Without Burning Out

    18-1-2026 | 15 Min.
2026 is a big year astrologically. And that’s exactly why this isn’t the year to push harder, cram more in, or expect yourself to run on empty.
In this episode, I talk about how to plan the year ahead in a way that actually protects your energy rather than drains it. Because burnout doesn’t come from being lazy or unmotivated. It comes from poor pacing and unrealistic expectations.
If you want 2026 to be a year where you stay inspired, productive, and well, this episode is for you.
    In this episode, we explore
Why most people burn out even when they’re doing everything “right”
The difference between planning and overloading yourself
Why rest is a strategy, not a reward
How to plan your year around energy rather than pressure
The importance of knowing when not to push
How the Moon naturally builds in action phases, pause points, and reset windows
Why ignoring cosmic timing often leads to enforced stops
How working with New Moons, Full Moons, and Quarter Moons can change how you feel day to day
A simple way to make 2026 feel manageable instead of overwhelming
    The big takeaway
You don’t need a perfect plan for 2026.
    You need a kind one.
When you work with the Moon, you stop fighting yourself. You pace your ambition, protect your nervous system, and make space for real momentum without exhaustion.
Want help putting this into practice?

    It includes:

Saturn, Neptune and Uranus Shift Signs in 2026. Should We Be Worried? | Mainly Moonology Podcast

    11-1-2026 | 33 Min.
In this episode, Yasmin is joined by astrologer Cassandra Tyndall for a grounded, eye-opening conversation about the astrology of 2026 and why so many fear-based predictions may be missing the point.
With Saturn and Neptune preparing to enter Aries and Uranus moving into Gemini, the astrological headlines have been dramatic. Talk of chaos, conflict and even global collapse is everywhere. But is that really what the chart is saying?
Together, Yasmin and Cassandra explore how these major planetary shifts are more about sovereignty, resilience and staying centred than doom and gloom. They discuss why future conflict is likely to look very different from the wars of the past, how Pluto in Aquarius is changing the nature of power itself, and why information, beliefs and nervous system regulation matter more than ever.
This is a conversation about staying calm in a noisy world, holding your inner centre when everything feels fast, and learning how to work with the astrology rather than fear it.

    In this episode, we cover:
    • Saturn and Neptune entering Aries and what that really means
    • Uranus moving into Gemini and the rise of information wars
    • Why 2026 is being widely misinterpreted by fear-based astrology
    • Pluto in Aquarius and unorthodox expressions of power
    • How conflict may show up differently in the modern world
    • The importance of staying sovereign during rapid change
    • Why the Waning Moon is a powerful time for emotional release
    • How to give yourself grace at the start of a new year
    • Navigating Chiron triggers without spiralling
    • Why healing is often about reacting differently, not being “fixed”

This episode is for you if:
    • You’ve felt unsettled by predictions about 2026
    • You want a calmer, more empowering take on the astrology
    • You’re tired of fear-based spiritual messaging
    • You want to stay centred and grounded during big global shifts
    • You’re ready to lead your life from sovereignty, not anxiety
